Apartment Review for The Turn - Phoenix, AZ

B.A.D. The RUDEST office staff you will ever encounter. I have no idea why the office staff has such an odd attitude. They act like every single tenant is a nuisance to them. As if we are their employees, not their rentors. VERY odd.

I should've known when signing my lease agreement when a guy walked in and the manager said "Hi ____, (he knew the guy's name), and the guy said, "Hey could you do me a favor I left my keys in my apartment and my roommate is still at work, could you please let me into my unit?"

Manager: "NO".

Okay, I watched as the guy walked out all angy without saying a word. Anyway, so I think this apt/condo is great, but as I walk around to inspect a bit, upon bringing my items in, I find the apt is actually filthy. There was food still in 'my' refrigerator from the last tenant! Every SINGLE drawer was stained with various food from old tenants. The shower hadn't been cleaned, NOTHING!

I was furious, I called management and asked them to please come to my apartment. The 'maintenance supervisor' came in with 3 other people all eyeing me like I was insane. The bigger guy, (maintenance superviosr), said, "What is the problem?". I told him this place has not been cleaned. He said where has it not been cleaned? After I showed him the dents in the doors, the refrigerator & freezer, the entire filthy unit, he actually said: "This is not a hotel or a house, you are renting an apartment".

I said, "Ah, ohkaaaaay, I am paying rent, I have never arrived to someone elses old food in the fridge and it is filthy, the micowave and dishwasher still have food particles on them also". After I showed him the huge dents in the front door, (both interior & exterior), he said, "Look outside, see that door..and that one?" As he pointed to other cheap crappy doors with dents in them. I was like wtf, I am just showing him the condition of this apt and he takes it all personally, what a DORK.

So, anyway, finally he says, "If you insist, I will have ____ (the only maid that was scowling at him and me the entire time), come into your apt tomorrow at 9am and she will clean".

Ok, thank you.

So, I waited, as I couldn't shower in this filthy place, I should've gotten a hotel. Next day he arrives alone. He said the maid quit. Hmm, I wonder why, this guy did not even address her by name only HER, as she stood in my apt the previous day. He then said he hired somoene 'just for me' and she would arrive in an hour. So, about an hour later he comes in with a woman that speaks no English. Yet he tells me to tell HER, to clean each room until it is cleaned and not leave that room until all done, then move on to next room. So, this lady doesn't speak a speck of English, and I am feeling awkward as she seems to be stuck in that kithcen for 2 hours. She says to me "I'm done". And I say, "Ah, I think they want you to do the bathrooms and the blinds in each room and all the windows". She says, "OK", suddenly she understands the words blinds, bathroom, etc. 10 minutes later the maintenance dork arrives at my door and he says to me: "did she do everything?" I said, "She said she did the blinds and everything I haven't checked". He said, 'GREAT', and left with her...as he says in English to her, 'Now we will go to apt # ___.

She hardly even cleaned, I have no idea what she was doing for 2 hours in the kitchen, but I already paid the stupid rent and said "OK", so I cleaned for 2 days straight-- every blind, the mildew and filth in bathroom, all the dirt all over the washer / dryer... I can't say enough this place was filthy.....

Ok, so I find out this place has losers all over, leaving their trash outside their doors instead of taking to the bins. A friggin freak lives below me, I swear he is a hermit, looks like Herman Munster and only comes out at midnight...the other night I am smoking ouside and he starts walking up MY stairs, (they lead ONLY to my apt), and I have no protection, and I give him a look, and he looks delusional as he slides away like a snake, wtf, I complained to management that this guy was doing this and the new freaky girl yells at me in front of another new tenant and says: "We have no control over who goes where". I am like ooooohkaaaaay lady....

I have a lot more to say I am regretting this move..and you will if you ever arrive. If you have any questions just walk around this UNSECURED bldg that had the gate wide open at all hours with their garderners that ONLY work on the front entry to the pretty office, parked in the fire lane, and take a walk around this bldg to see all the unhappy people here. No one likes it...NO ONE. Oh and if you are a theif these people in the office don't even work on Saturday or Sunday, so come on in, no cameras, nothing. I give this place a big BOO.
