Apartment Review for The Peaks At Papago Park - Phoenix, AZ

A 22 year old female was sexually assaulted on May 04 2010. On site Store owner murdered by a tenant in 2007. I do not recommend this complex, the rent can be very cheap, but what you save on rent you end up paying in electric bills. This complex does not meet present building code requirements. Cons: 1. AC units so old, old, old, there are no AC filters available for purchase. 2. AC evaporator fins completely covered in mold/dust/air borne contaminants. 3. AC does not maintain temp below 78 degrees until late into the night. 4. Electric bill regularly 200$ 5. 2 bedroom really only 1 bedroom because AC can not cool full layout. 6. Temp in master bedroom closet is same as outside temp - measured 105 one day. 7. Mildew/Mold in bathrooms was not removed - staff just caulked over mildew/mold. 8. Security cameras directed at tenant windows. 9. Craftsmanship is horrible, kitchen cabinets fall apart. 10. No overhead lights in any room except kitchen and bathrooms. 11. Dog/Cat poo everywhere. 12. Pigeons poo everywhere. 13. Numerous registered sex offenders less than 2miles away. 14. Exterior walls are not insulated which mean your electric bill will regularly be over 200$ for a small apartment. Pros: 1. Next to golf course, parks, hiking/biking trails. 1/8 mile from 202. 2. Quick drive to ASU. 3. Pools well maintained. 4. Small store on complex.
