Walk away and don't sign!!!

Like everyone has said, this is without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had with renting. It is privately managed (by idiots) that will do anything to get money out of their residents. Upon almost being kidnapped we were concerned for our safety. This is not in a great part of town and they have one security guard that patrols the entire unit only on weekends. We desperately tried to get into contact with the owner or someone who would truly and sincerely care about the well-being of this communitys residents. Every employee in the office (including the manager) would provide no assistance. I can not even begin to explain the amounts of leaks, plumbing issues, and water damage that have occurred within our apartment. When you ask for their documentations of the work orders they lie and say that they can not provide you with that information. It is so unbelievable that while living here I have had to go to the office everyday and put in work orders that dont get fixed to normal living standards, and I can not even be provided with the documentation. Why (probably because they do not care and dont even bother writing it down). I dont want to go into too much detail, but you have to be so careful while reading their lease at this place. Write your own work orders every day, every time (and make sure someone signs). Get copies of your rent checks, as they made one of my neighbors pay rent twice! In my opinion the most substantial reason for renting is to feel like you live in a safe community. There have been helicopters circling the premises looking for suspects late into the night, a woman was terribly beat up outside of my apartment, and another one of my neighbors had his car stolen upon the first week of moving in. I only hope that others do not have to experience this place in the manner that I have. For those who think that this place is a great place to live, then that is so wonderful and Im happy for you; but to any potential renter I would ask you to seriously consider what is important to you and dont sign the lease (the place is really that deceiving like everyone is saying). Good luck in your search.
