Some Good Some Bad
Review Date: 12/31/2009 Reviewer: Anonymous
First, the Good Things: Nice, Green Grounds; Quiet Surroundings; Good Value in terms of Sq Footage for the $. Water included, which other places will cost you $30. Next, the Bad: Galley Kitchens. Poor, slow response to Maintenance Issues, like addressing a garbage disposal which didn't work and kitchen plumbing that leaked. These things may have contributed to what I think was an already existing cockroach problem which presented itself shortly after move-in and never went away. Is there anything more gross?! The pool was repeatedly closed during the heat of summer due to someone tossing in beer bottles, which apparently mucks up the chlorine balance. That was unfortunate because the pool was otherwise VERY clean. Half the electric outlets were of some new fangled variety which didn't work. There used to be a really nice woman, Gwenda, working on the w/e's, but after she left I had to deal with Edye, who was disingenuous and unpleasant at best. If you move here, be prepared to pay for cable to get even the big 3, and know that the cable may be uninstallable in the bedrooms due to building limitations. Depending upon where your apartment is located, you might have to endure the watchful eyes of some very bored seniors who have nothing better to do than observe your every move. |
