Apartment Review for Fairway Crossings - Phoenix, AZ

I think this complex is the worst in this area.I was at this complex for almost 5 years. The maintance workers are new every month it seems like and they don't get better. You have to request them to fix the same things over and over before they do it correct. I had a problem with my A/C unit always freezing during the summer. I would have to leave to let the unit unfreeze for 3 hours then they would recharge the unit. I already had a child at the time of the unit always freezing, and this last summer I was pregnant with my second child due in August '06 and I was having the same problem with the unit. Before I gave birth to my baby I requested that the unit be FIXED. I was not going to bring a newborn into a hot apartment, in the summer, in AZ. It was not fixed and the problem continued after bringing home my baby. I made countless calls to both the office and maintance supervisor they both told me different stories on why it was not fixed. It wasn't until I told the office I was going to call a a /c repair person and have them fix it that the unit was replaced because it was so old and gross. I left in January'07. Now that I have moved I received a collection notice from an agency stating that the complex has sent my name to them. They are trying to collect money on things they already put in my move out statement and took from my deposit. I have been trying to clear my name from this matter because it can ruin my credit , but the management won't work with me or the collection agency. Nobody can figure out what's going on, but the management won't help anyone fix this mistake. They are rude and don't care about anyone but themselves and their money. Don't rent from this place!!! They will try to sucker you for all you are worth, then laugh at you!!! DO know all your rights as a tenant, they will try to tell you that you are wrong ,because they don't exspect you to know the laws.
